Landfill Risk Assessment
The Landfill Directive (1999/31/EC) came into force on 16 July, 1999. It aims to improve standards of land filling across Europe by setting specific requirements for the design and operation of landfills, and restricting the types of wastes than can be accepted in landfills. In order to comply with any landfill planning applications a LRA is needed to Environment Agency standard.
BCL has worked on Landfill Risk Assessments from varying sizes and types of landfill sites, including construction waste to municipal solid waste sites. BCL look into all areas needed in completing a quality Landfill Risk Assessment to comply with the Environment Agency.
