Flood Risk Assessment

In accordance with the requirements of the National Planning Policy Framework, a Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) is required to accompany planning applications relating to lands within Flood Zones 2 and 3 and for all proposals of 1 hectare or more within Flood Risk Zone 1.

BCL has many years of experience in the processes, requirements and technical detail needed for formulation a Flood Risk Assessment and equivalent such assessment in accordance with Environment Agency (EA), Natural Resources Wales (NRW), Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) and Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) Standards.

BCL provide a full site-specific Flood Risk Assessment, evaluating and assessing all areas of the report including climate change, off-site impacts and any flood risk management measures needed to Environment Agency standards.

Accompanying drainage assessment with Drainage Assessment, Sustainable urban Drainage System (SuDS) design and associated works are also provided.
