BCL Hydro has a wealth of experience in the procedures and requirements associated with procuring the statutory authorisations.

This experience allows us to develop an application strategy and water management approach specific to applicant requirements and the regulatory setting of their assets, streamlining the application process and maximising positive outcomes. We can undertake this on a standalone basis, though also incorporate this at an early stage within complimentary projects, ensuring that the constraint of such consents is accommodated within development design.

We aim, wherever possible within prevailing regulatory constraints, to achieve consents with practicable conditions that regularise client activities, as opposed to blindly dictating them.

BCL’s involvement ranges between provision of informal advice, to full “turn-key” applications, which may involve field testing and / or liaison with regulatory bodies.

We specialise in Water Abstraction Licenses (full and transfer) and Environmental Permits, Water Discharge and in providing hydrogeological input to waste recovery / disposal applications (including detailed quantitative Hydrogeological Risk Assessment, HRA, and associated modelling works). We have complementary experience regarding Ordinary Watercourse Consent / Land Drainage Consent, Flood Risk Activity Permits, Internal Drainage Board (IDB) consents and all other water related regulatory authorisations.
